Sunday Painters 1986 promo shot

Peter Raengel, Peter MacKinnon, Resident Kennedy

Hi there.

This is the OFFICIAL WEB SITE of
(The) Sunday Painters:
a 1980s-vintage indie band from Wollongong, Australia.

This site contains no information about people messing about with paint in their free time,
nor to a 2000s-vintage Detroit, USA band of the same name.
The website: www.thesundaypainters.com is currently
under reconstruction.
The names: "The Sunday Painters", "Sunday Painters", "Resident Kennedy"and the "vectors" logo
are copyright ©1979-2012
Continue.

News:

Sep 2006 – See how long you can wait between site updates if you really try?

O.K. Here is some music at last. We recommend that you read the copyright license linked from that page.

There is also a correction and update to Bruce Ellis's entry in the contributors section. G'day Bruce!

Also, we inexcusably left Jim Muir and Tony McGrath out of the contributors section.
Our sincere apologies.

Jan 2006 – We have finally stopped procrastinating and begun building our web site. We promise it will get better (for a given value of better).

What you will find here will be a stockpile of information for keen Sunday Painters enthusiasts. As we get around to it, there will be lyrics, gig-lists, annotated discographies, voicing of non-threatening opinions, and, for those who you like music, there'll be sport music.
Soon.

You will also be able to buy wonderful CDs here when we have any to sell.

For now, however, you will have to make do with a couple of crappy lists below.

Dec 2005Laughing Outlaw Records have released Inner City Soundtrack, a double CD compilation of Australian punk/post-punk music, including Something To Do from our album of the same name. Do yourself a favour and buy a copy. Can I have my free copy now?

Older News:

1992 - The Sunday Painters are now on hiatus due to pressure from other commitments, and there will be no public performances for the forseeable future.
